We're saddened to announce that, as of August 2019, Middlesex County Camp will be closing its doors.
Middlesex County Camp will not open for campers in 2019 as its Board of Directors deals with a variety of financial matters including raising funds for capital improvements to camp facilities and repairs, as well as searching for new partnerships and benefactors to continue fulfilling its mission.
The first victim was Chloe, who was found shortly after breakfast on the basketball court with a hockey stick and puck beside her. She had a gash on her forehead and her throat was slit. Who could have committed this dreadful crime?
This week was the week of Olympics. At the beginning of the week the campers and staff cooked burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers and s’mores out in the woods and had a good time.
As the international staff this year hail from: France, Slovakia, Poland, Mexico, Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, it was decided that this week should be ‘Around the World’.
There was also the MCC Breakout Cabin where the campers and staff had to work together to find objects and solve problems, which found 3 cabins locked in and only 2 managing to escape.
Former MCC camper Kaelene Gustafson tells us the Top 6 life lessons she learned while she was at Camp.
With summer swiftly coming, we wanted our campers, counselors and parents to learn more about our 2017 Director, Colleen Barnhart.
In September, we polled you, members of the Middlesex County Camp family, what our 2017 themes should be. We asked, and you answered! We are incredibly excited to announce our 2017 Weeks and Themes for Middlesex County Camp!
For the last week of camp the theme was Pitch Perfect which involved lots of music. For electives there were music related games like musical chairs and freeze, where all those who played had a lot of fun. Karaoke was also an option with solos, duets and groups of campers and staff performing a variety of hits.
There were many electives to choose from this week including– soccer where it was England vs South Africa, which proved an exciting game and produced a score of 4-4. Volleyball was played too, with the American and Australian flags attached to the net to represent the teams playing.
Space is a place started with the question of ‘Where in space would you like to live?’ at campfire, when the counselors introduced themselves.
For electives Spaceball (Kickball) was played and there was tie dye where meteor showers of color were added to clothing and there was also a pool party, which was out of this world!
For week 5 we all had a lot of fun with hide ‘n’ seek week!
Even the professional photo taken for this week had a hide ‘n’ seek theme, as one photo of the dining hall was taken without anyone in it, to look as though everyone was hiding and the other had the whole camp as always. Now you see us, now you don’t!
For campers and staff this week at MCC, water was incorporated in many activities and the tie dye elective created some wave effect designs on the t-shirts, for those who chose to participate in it.
This week was a magical week at camp filled with fun, laughter and pixie dust as we celebrated our Disney theme. ‘Circle of Life’ style family dining was enjoyed in the dining hall.
Spies Week is a wrap. We had so much fun working with this group of campers! It was a much different experience for our counselors when compared to the previous week because of the amount of campers we had, and we loved every second of it!
There was excitement in the air and high energy as Middlesex County Camp kicked off its first week! The staff just couldn’t contain their excitement for the big day! Campers were welcomed with big hugs and smiles and cheered on as they arrived....
